🎮 My first Nuzlocke - Pokemon X
I am playing Pokémon X for the first time and trying my first-ever Nuzlocke. If you don't know what a Nuzlocke is, it's a self-imposed challenge to make playing Pokémon a little harder... These are the rules I am using for my first one:
- If a Pokémon faints, it's gone. I have to put it in a Graveyard Box
- I can only catch the first wild Pokémon in each area; if it faints or runs, I get nothing
- I must nickname every Pokémon
- Switch mode stays on; items and EXP share are allowed
- NPC-gifted Pokémon are allowed
- Wobuffet clause: If a wild Wobuffet in Reflection Cave kills one of my Pokémon, it doesn't count.
Since this is my first ever Nuzlocke I am still deciding whether to add a level cap or not. Online says Pokemon X/Y is too easy, so maybe worth adding level caps. If so, these are the caps I'm using:
- Gym 1 - LVL 12
- Gym 2 - LVL 25
- Gym 3 - LVL 32
- Gym 4 - LVL 34
- Gym 5 - LVL 37
- Gym 6 - LVL 42
- Gym 7 - LVL 48
- Gym 8 - LVL 59
- ELITE4 - LVL 65
My run is deemed complete when I've beaten the Elite 4!
I've never played Pokémon like this before, so it will be interesting. I chose Pokémon X because it's one of the games I haven't played yet, and it's on my 3DS, which I generally enjoy playing on.
